THE CIVIL AIR PATROL INSPECTOR GENERAL SENIOR LEVEL TRAINING

The Civil Air Patrol Inspector General Senior Level Training Course is scheduled for 26-27 April 2008.  The training is scheduled at the Bakersfield (CA) Squadron on Meadows Field Airport (BFL).  Students should plan to arrive on Friday, 25 April.  Sign-in will be 0730 hours Saturday morning at the class site.  Classes will be all day Saturday and will be released by 1700 on Sunday.

Cost:

$25.00 to cover miscellaneous class materials, snack and beverage.  Students will be responsible for paying for their own transportation, lodging and incidentals.

Directions:

The squadron meets at 1401 Skyway Drive on Meadows Field, which is east of the Golden State Freeway (Hwy 99).  Coming from the south, take exit 27 and follow Airport Drive north; coming from the north, take exit 31 and follow 7th Standard Rd east to Airport Drive (turn right/south).  Follow Airport Drive and turn west at West China Grade Loop.  Follow China Grade Loop/Skyway Drive toward the terminal and watch for 1401.



Student Requirements:

Time is limited.  At least 15 students must be signed up by 15 February or the course will be cancelled.  All applicants must be current members of Civil Air Patrol.  Applications will be accepted in the following priority:

1.      Applicants assigned as Wing or Region Inspectors General or assistants.

2.      Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Commanders.

3.      Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Vice-Commanders or Chiefs of Staff.

4.      Applicants assigned as Legal Officers.

5.      Other interested members with the approval of the PCR/IG.

6.      Members of Pacific Region will have priority over all others.


Uniform Requirements:

Short or long sleeve Air Force style uniform as prescribed by CAPM 39-1 (Please be sure haircuts are within regulation when wearing this uniform.  Those choosing to wear a long-sleeve uniform must wear a tie/tab with it.).

OR

Aviator shirt combination as prescribed by CAPM 39-1 (remember to wear black shoes and black socks).

Hats are required outdoors when wearing the Air Force style uniform.
