The Civil Air Patrol Inspector General Senior Level Training Course is scheduled for 5-6 August 2008. The training is scheduled at the Gaylord Palms Resort, in Kissimmee, FL. This is the two days immediately prior to the summer National Board and Convention and will be held in the same hotel. Students should plan to arrive on Monday, 4 August. Sign-in will be Tuesday morning at 0830 at the class site. Classes will fill both days and will be released by 1700 each day.
Cost:
There is a $30 charge to cover refreshments. Students will be responsible for paying for their own transportation, lodging and incidental expenses.
Billeting:
Billeting availability is the same as for the National Board and Convention. Each student is responsible for making his/her own reservations.
Directions:
The Gaylord Palms Resort is at 6000 W. Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee. This is just east of exit 65 on I-4 in Kissimmee. Those arriving by commercial transportation should advise CAP/EXS and we will attempt to arrange a pick-up.
Student Requirements:
Space is limited. All applicants must be current members of Civil Air Patrol. Applications will be accepted in the following priority:
1. Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Inspectors General or assistants.
2. Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Commanders.
3. Applicants assigned as Group, Wing or Region Vice-Commanders or Chiefs of Staff.
4. Applicants assigned as Legal Officers.
5. Other interested members with the approval of the CAP/IG.
Uniform Requirements:
Uniform will be either the short-sleeve Air Force style blue uniform without a tie or the equivalent aviator shirt combination, as described in CAPM 39-1.
